Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken or PorkĀ 
  

1 Kg breast of chicken or 2 kg legs or thighs
2 cups water or orange juice
4 tablespoons Soya Sauce
1 can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup butter           
1 cup white sugar            
2 tablespoons lemon juice                   
Garnish with sesame seeds (optional)            
             
           




Brown chicken quickly in fry pan for about 2 min. each side;. Add water/juice, pineapple, sugar, 2 tablespoons Soya sauce and 1 tablespoon lemon juice per 500 g chicken. Heat at 350, covered, for about 40 minutes (less if boneless chicken). Remove cover and heat on Broil or "high" until you see the sauce bubbling furiously for at least 1 minute. Remove from heat, garnish and let stand 5 minutes and serve.

  

Makes a double portion; 1/2 ingredients if for just one meal.
